STURGIS MISSISSIPPI REUNION CLUB STURGIS CHAPTER JANUARY 31,2002
Dear Friends,
The Sturgis, Mississippi Reunion will be held in Starkville, Mississippi this year. We are planning to have a grand time.
The Dinner Dance will be held at the Shriner's Club in Starkville on Highway 25 on August 31, 2002. The price per person (adult or child) is $35.00, which will cover an open bar and buffet dinner. The final date for sending all money is August 1, 2002. We will not accept any money at the door.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER AUGUST 1, 2002.
Dinner Dance begins at 6:00 p.m.
Cocktails (6:00-7:30 p.m.)
Dinner (7:30-9:00 p.m. with program in cession)
Music, dancing, and cocktails resume from 9:00-12:00 p.m.)
The picnic will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2002 from 6:00 a.m until 6:00 p.m. at the Diane Jackson Memorial Park. Requirements of the park - EVERYONE MUST CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES. Let's respect the park manger's wishes.
Tee shirts will be available for sale at the hotel and picnic.
We will also be having something new at this year's reunion. We will have a one-of-a-kind wall chart, charting over 2000 of our ancestors and relatives, plus an index of all ancestors documented so far in the project! We have been able to trace some Sturgis families back over 200 years! Be included in this project. You can read more about the "Families of Sturgis" Project here. Be a part of preserving our history and enjoy sharing the history with your family once the final book is completed. We are always looking for photos (pre-1940), old letters and documents and your stories from Sturgis. Let's have Sturgis remembered for the generations to come!
